Our society is currently facing extraordinarily tough economic times, and as machine manufacturers, we must adapt to these turbulent economic circumstances.  At the same time we must also deal with the industrial world as a whole, crossing over regions and languages as we become increasingly global, while simultaneously adapting to the daily acceleration in the speed of change in customer demands.

The Toshiba Machine Group will focus its efforts on easing the burden of our customers during this difficult time by striving to be the sole machine manufacturer able to provide customers with optimum production solutions which increase the value of our machines from every perspective; from the manufacture and sales of machine tools, to after-sale maintenance and retrofitting.

In the past we have focused much of our energy on the production and development of a vast range of machine tools for leading industries such as; energy, IT, shipbuilding, semi-conductors, and the automobile industry, with horizontal boring & milling machines, bridge-type machining centers, and vertical turning lathes as our core business.　While our emphasis will always be on production and development, we plan to make a big leap into the 21st century by dramatically expanding and improving the after-sales maintenance, rebuilding, and retrofitting side of our business.
