Hiroshi Azuma

Senior Director

Hiroshi Azuma is presently a Senior Director and a member of the Board of Directors at Toshiba Machine Chennai Pvt Ltd. (TMIC). He is actively engaged in accelerating the synergizaition of TMIC and Toshiba Machine(TM) aimed to bring in a fruitful outcome and to raise the corporate values of TMIC for its stakeholders including Indian customers. Azuma is also responsible to create guidelines and assign a strategic path for TMIC to align with the goals of TM.
Azuma joined Toshiba Machine in the year 1985. Prior to becoming the Director at TMIC Azuma was a Senior Manager at Sales Promotion Department at the Headquarters of Sales Control Division and also had been Managing Director of Toshiba Machine Europe, Branch Manager of various locations like Chubu, Kansai, Tohoku, Kyushu & Canada to lead Sales Department of each Division for sales strategy & marketing.
Azuma also has a rich experience as the head of Injection Molding Machine Export Department to lead worldwide sales team of injection molding machines including for North America, Europe, East- Asia and Southeast Asia. His outstanding achievements includes his role in working with a dedicated project team across divisions and a group of companies of a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in the United States involving hundreds of machines.
Azuma was also the Export Committee Head of Plastic Machinery Department of JSIM (The Japan Society of Industrial Machinery Manufacturers) from 2003 to 2009. JSIM had its role in promoting the export of plastic machinery including injection molding machine and to share market information statistical data and with SPI (USA), VDMA (Germany). Azuma enjoys golfing & reading and post his transfer to India he is keen to understand Indian culture.


Takashi Kamiyama


Takashi Kamiyama is presently a director and a member of the Board of Directors at Toshiba Machine Chennai Pvt Ltd. (TMIC). His current role is to accelerate the synergizaition of TMIC and Toshiba Machine (TM) by offering his contribution on the market knowledge and his technical expertise. He would also help in integration of product lines by aiding technology transfer from TM and also help in new product development.
Kamiyama joined Toshiba Machine in the year 1974, and has served the company in many roles including those in the research and development of high end injection molding machines. He has keen interests in injection molding machine design and had a special focus on design of plasticizing screw contributing greatly to the research and development at TM during the early days of his career. He later moved to Toshiba Machine America (TMA) as a vice president, serving customers in the East Coast of U.S.A.
Apart from mentoring the sales and service team based at New Jersey branch of TMA he was also responsible for channel partner development at TMA.  His success in TMA got him to lead the Toshiba Machine Europe (TME) as a managing director where he went on to build a strong brand preference for Toshiba Machine. While fulfilling his role as a management representative he was still very active in sales and technical support while at TME. This propelled Kamiyama to establish Toshiba Machine India (TMI) when it started operations in New Delhi during the year 2006. Kamiyama lead TMI was highly successful in the task of converting customers using hydraulic machines to accept TM built All-Electric Injection molding machines which was a major challenge during that period.  He has been awarded twice by Toshiba Machine President for his outstanding professional contribution. He loves his music, watches movies during his leisure. He also loves to socialize with friends and customer over a drink in the evening.

Kailas P

Kailas. P

Managing Director

P. Kailas is Managing Director and a member of the Board of Directors at Toshiba Machine Chennai Pvt Ltd. (TMIC). His current role is to operationally head the organization catering to both manufacturing and marketing. He would also be responsible for the P&L of TMIC and takes guidance from Senior Board Directors and the Toshiba Machine(TM) management at Japan.
Kailas Joined Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in the year 1983 and has about 30 years of experience in various business functions of the organization, he was heading L&T Plastics Machinery Ltd, as a CEO when the plastics machinery business of L&T was acquired by Toshiba Machine, Japan in the year 2012. Subsequently he was inducted into the Board as a Director and is presently serving as the Managing Director of TMIC from January 2013.
Kailas brings in a gamut of experience in marketing & manufacturing through his long years at L&T. His notable achievements include setting up of a green field manufacturing facility of L&T at Kanchipuram near Chennai and also heading the marketing division at different business units of L&T.
He is active in the plastics industry circle and is one of the current directors of the plastics machinery manufacturers association in India. He is also an active member of advisory of Board of Plastivision of “All India Plastics Manufacturers Association” and works closely with Government of India for policy related directions.
