Shibaura Machine Company, America will present LIVE demos showcasing the latest innovations in injection molding technologies at Booth #W2743 during NPE2024: The Plastics Show in Orlando, FL, May 6-10. All demos feature Shibaura’s ECSX series of all-electric injection molding machines.
LIVE demos at NPE2024 include:

• Medical Molding Cell
  – In this demo, Shibaura will show how easy it is to convert from traditional thermoplastic to liquid silicon molding with its new, medical-specific EC110SXIII, a 110-ton all-electric machine featuring enhancements ideal for medical molding and clean room environments. The cell will mold duckbill valves used in blood transfusion and other medical applications.

• In-Mold Labeling Cell
  – This completely automated cell will show a 390-ton EC390SXIII all-electric combined with auxiliary systems to mold, assemble and label 5-liter plastic buckets.

• Multi-Material, Multi-Color Production Cell
  – Consolidating multiple processes into a single automated system, Shibaura will use a 250-ton EC250SXIII machine with an aluminum mold to produce thousands of multi-color bottle openers in seconds.

• Low Pressure Core Back Molding Cell
  – This demo will show how foam molding, precision core back technology, nitrogen gas assist and a 390-ton EC390SXIII all-electric from Shibaura are combined to output larger, lighter parts with less resin and lower environmental impact.
• New Technology Demo
  – What’s on the horizon at Shibaura Machine? Find out in this futuristic demo showcasing the latest innovations and enhancements now underway for the next generation of all-electric injection molding technology from Shibaura Machine.

• machiNetCloud Demo
  – All the equipment in each production cell – from ECSX injection molding machines to multi-axis robots and other auxiliaries – will be seamlessly connected by machiNetCloud, Shibaura’s exclusive industrial IoT service. At the demo, attendees will learn how machiNetCloud can provide them with remote, real-time access to machine data, enabling them to control validated processes for molded components anytime, from any location.
