Effective use of resources

We aim to reduce the waste discharged from domestic factories down to a final disposal volume of 1% or less and at the same time, in the 2nd environment action, we target 32% reduction from the base year in 2022.

In FY2022, the discharged volume amounted to 2,863t, an increase of about 60t from that of FY2021, due to the production increase after the recovery from the COVID19 pandemic. This amounts to 2.31t / hundred million yen in terms of the intensity assessment, a decrease of 11.2 % from that of FY2021, which was 2.60t / hundred million yen. *3

The waste generated as a result of the factory storage area rectification activities amounted to 479t and the in-house management value was calculated by subtracting this portion.

*3 Calculation of the 2nd environmental action plan, discharge volume, and intensity assessment have been performed based on the domestic data only.
